You'll love this Vintage Beach Cottage in historic Kitty Hawk Village. This backyard guest house is a restored antique barn, w/a private deck for relaxing and grilling. Full of vintage-beach charm, the cottage is complete w/refinished antique furniture & salvaged doors from one of Kitty Hawk's original homes. You'll love its coziness, lawn & gardens, private outdoor sitting area w/ grill & prime location. Less than a mile to beach, bay & canals; w/use of bikes, beach chairs & boogie boards! The Vintage Beach Cottage is a marriage of beach-country. This backyard guest house is nestled in the heart of historic Kitty Hawk Village. The cottage is less than a mile to the beach and sound, yet is in a private & spacious setting (neighbors even have farm animals like horses & chickens!) Recently fully restored with vintage charm and decor (& queen-size memory foam mattress). The space is ideal for accommodating two guests. However, if you'd don't mind being cozy, there is room for an additional baby or child. We have a cot and a playpen to meet this need. The Vintage Beach Cottage is a detached, private building located in the backyard of our private residence. You will have access to park in the front of our house and walk around back to the guest quarters. We'd love to help you in any way we can to make the most of your Outer Banks vacation. Jamie has lived on these beaches his whole life and we'd be happy to share with you all of our favorite spots! Kitty Hawk Village is one of the original settlements in the area. Rich in history, the Vintage Beach Cottage is just a short walk from the spot where the Wright brothers came and made their home while attempting to be the "First in Flight"! You can bike to the beach, but if you choose to bring lots of gear, you will want to drive and the good news is that parking at the beaches on the Outer Banks is still free of charge! There are ample public parking lots and side streets with parking available. We are also located close to scenic/ waterfront walking & bike paths. You will also have use of the large backyard and private deck behind the cottage. This patio includes rocking chairs, a table and grill. It’s a peaceful space, and the star gazing at night is stunning back there! Since the beach and sound are both a short bike ride away, you will have access to bikes, beach chairs & boogie boards.
