This historically protected, meticulously handcrafted home was built in 1936, in the core of the Fourth Ward. The neighborhood it resides in is known for its beautiful architecture and its safe tranquil walkability. Full of character, this space has original hardwood floors, 12 foot ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, and an original cast iron radiator (non operable). Important Note: The home has 3 steps to access the unit. If you are uncomfortable or struggle with steps then this may not be the home for you. You can see the steps in a few of the pictures. Features: * Comfy Queen 12" memory foam bed * 2 mini split AC/Heat pump units in main areas * Designated reading area with plenty of games and books. * Windows galore for flooding natural light, as well as strategically placed lighting to create an intimate night time ambiance. * Fully stocked kitchen w/ all of the kitchen essentials and bakeware, pots, pans, etc. that one could possibly need. *Comprehensive coffee bar w/ all of the desirable sweeteners and creamers. Guests will have access to the apartment, deck area and all outdoor spaces. The apartment is attached to a main unit that will not be accessible as well as a quaint Casita in the backyard. Please note: we have a long term tenant in the Casita, so please be mindful of his space. Parking for 2 vehicles in the driveway. While we strive to create the perfect stay, we are first time hosts and would love helpful recommendations! We live in the attached unit and are usually available for any issues that may arise. We typically keep to ourselves but we go out of our way to make every stay special and unique! Quiet and peaceful neighborhood in the Albuquerque Downtown area. Take in the moment and create lasting memories during your stay. We highly recommend walking the neighborhood and enjoying the unique architecture and beautiful scenery (especially for early risers!). Miscellaneous Info: We have a long-term tenant (my father) in the Casita out back. He is very friendly but keeps to himself. The Casita is fenced off for your privacy and it is likely you will not run into one another! Pet Policy: We love your furry friends, but we also want to keep the space beautiful and clean for other guests. - There will be an additional $40 cleaning fee for pets. - No more than one pet - No pets over 50 lbs - Clean up after your pet (slobber, dog waste, etc. waste bags are provided) - To protect the backyard, please do not allow your dog to dig. If there is any damage caused by pets (including digging) we will request that the damage be reimbursed.
