The house is a large single family home located on a cul-de-sac in a small residential development, which is surrounded by farmland to the north and a lovely park to the south, which is safe for walks, jogging and biking. Only a 7 minute drive to shopping dining, 15 minutes to historic downtown Frederick, 30 minutes to Gettysburg and Antietam. The space for guests is a double-room with a bathroom across the hall. Gourmet kitchen and common areas can be used in coordination with owners. Our house is large, quiet and most spaces are available to be shared. This includes the kitchen, a beautiful covered deck with charcoal grill, media room in the basement, washer and dryer For those looking to stay for an extended time, there is plenty of room for a desk/chair in the double room. Ideal situation for traveling nurses, internships, businesspeople here for weeks at a time. Deck with grill, washer/dryer, media room, kitchen other common areas. As both owners are currently working from home, we are generally available for questions and socialization in person or through telephone, text or email. Walkersville Park is a 3 minute walk, Heritage Park is a ten-minute drive. Orchards, state and county parks, as well as National Historic Parks are all within a short drive. Dozens upon dozens of restaurants and shopping are within a 15 minute drive. The house is best suited for people with their own cars. One can park in the driveway or on the street (cul-de-sac). In downtown Frederick (15 minutes away) there is a bus/train station for easy access to commuter trains to Washington DC. We require COVID vaccination verification before arrival, booster shots should also have been given. Guests should be gay-friendly as you will be staying in the home of a gay couple. Please, note, that although we are animal lovers, both owners are very allergic to various animals, for that reason, the house is not pet-friendly or available for those with ESA’s..
