The Lakewood House
Welcome to The Lakewood House on Cross Lake! We've completely remodeled this house to ensure maximum comfort and fun. Sitting on 1.4 acres of lakefront property, you have plenty of room to stretch out and relax. 2 bedrooms w/ king size beds, 1 bedroom w/ built-in bunk beds. Every room has its own private bathroom and door to the deck. We have a huge back deck that overlooks the property & the lake that's perfect for entertaining and grilling. 2 docks on the lake that are perfect for fishing. For your enjoyment we have a canoe that guests can use. We also require that life vests be used at all times while canoeing and swimming (We have plenty). Due to irresponsible guests we no longer have the dartboard or allow a fire inside but there is a great fire pit area outside with multiple chairs for enjoyment. The large living room and has a smart TV and guest passwords for different programs (Netflix, HULU live). To create a relaxing space to enjoy being near nature we only have the one TV. We also provide extra things for the kids: baby gate, toddler age toys, board games, cane poles for fishing, & some balls and different outdoor activities. We want to make sure our guests have an amazing experience. We both have jobs here in town, but can quickly get away to the property should there be any issues. Set on the north side of the lake, our property is on a private road. All the neighbors are friendly, so please be respectful in the evening time to not be too loud. Our property is just a few minutes from the 3132 Interstate and barely 10 minutes from downtown. This will give you quick access to both downtown Shreveport, Bossier, and the south side of Cross Lake where we love to eat at Orlandeaux’s Restaurant. No parties are allowed, and you will be asked to have the extra gusts leave immediately if a party takes place. A code will be given the day of arrival to get into the house. Being on a lake comes with some things being out of our control. We can not control the amount of mosquitos or pollen in the area. To keep them out of the house and protect from bites we suggest bug spray, citronella candles etc. also keeping the doors shut the best you can. Cross Lake like most Louisiana lakes, has alligators. It’s unlikely you would see them in our area but they are in other parts.
