Come enjoy the Lake WIlloughby area where there is lots to do or just relax and enjoy the gorgeous view of the mountains and lake. The colors are spectacular in the Fall. The snow covered mountains are gorgeous in the winter. The views are captivating in every season. The spacious house is on a quiet dead end road. My place is good for couples, business travelers, and families. While relaxing in the Great room enjoy the ever changing views including wildlife. The bathrooms have recently been remodeled and the kitchen is next. The three season enclosed porch does have a pull out couch for those who enjoy waking up to the sunrise. The Great room with the covered porch is most guests favorite where they spend time relaxing enjoying the breath-taking views. Guests enjoy the privacy of the entire house except for the storage areas in the basement and garage. I am available by phone all the time and in person a good percentage of the time if needed. Lake Willoughby, Westmore is a very special area with so much natural beauty. Hiking trails, beaches, local fairs, farmers markets, and special celebrations allow opportunities for you to enjoy the area. Burke Mountain is 30 minutes away and Jay Peak is an hour away. Some bike and walk in the area but a car is needed to truly explore the many different roads in the Northeast Kingdom. Unfortunately we cannot allow pets anymore due to previous guests with pets not accepting the responsibility for their pets. As a host I must protect my premises so it remains available to guest with confirmed reservations. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cooking utensils, pots and pans. Linens and towels are included. Parking is limited to four cars in the driveway. No parking on the narrow dirt road. Mutual respect between the guests, owner and neighbors is expected. Noise levels are kept reasonable for a country setting. Gatherings of more than 4 people must be approved prior to the booking. And special parties or special occasion gatherings must be discussed and agreed to in writing with specifics between the owner and the guests. Sometimes earlier check ins can be arranged at an additional cost of $25 per hour. Similarly, later check out times are sometimes available also at an additional cost of $25 per hour. Check out is 11am and check in is between 4pm and 9pm unless other arrangements have been made in writing through AIRBNB message thread. This has been recently instituted due to abuse by recent guests not respecting the inconvenience they cause by expecting and taking for granted their needs to different check in and check out times without consideration for other guests and the host and cleaning person.
