2019 constructed 2 bedroom/2.5 bath gorgeous mountain getaway cabin with beautiful long range mountain views. Main level includes master bedroom with bath, kitchen with breakfast bar, great room, and large deck with wood burning fireplace with gas starter, outdoor furniture, propane grill, and stunning views. Terrace level includes King bedroom, separate bath, game room with pool table, laundry room, and patio with 6 person hot tub. Must be 25 years of age to book. The cabin is located about 7 miles from downtown Blue Ridge, on top of a mountain, with mostly paved roads in. The gravel roads are in great condition. No 4-wheel drive vehicle needed. There is a House Manual in the Great Room and we encourage you to read it upon arrival - it goes over details about our cabin. You should find everything you need for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. A fully furnished kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils, dinnerware, flatware, both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig, wine glasses, and more. A roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, a roll of paper towels in the kitchen, hand soap, bath soap, shampoo/conditioner, several dishwasher pods, dish washing liquid, sponge, trash bags, and laundry soap will be provided. We do not supply firewood in spring and summer seasons. Check in is 4 pm or after and check out is strict 10 am. There is a coded front door lock and the code will be sent to you on the day of your arrival. A few days before your arrival, you will receive a check in guide through the AirBnB message board that shows through photos and text the last roads in, the driveway, the cabin, and the door lock. Outside security cameras to monitor while owner is away and reduce insurance costs. No cameras inside or facing into the cabin. We don't monitor guests after check in. NOTE: There are not any package stores in Blue Ridge Fannin County GA - there are in Ellijay/Gilmer County if you arrive from the south. If you drink spirits you will need to bring along or purchase on your way in. Grocery stores sell beer and wine inside the city limits of both towns. The host lives about 20-25 minutes from the cabin and is available if needed for any emergencies or issues at the cabin. There is so much to do in this area - from Ellijay to Blue Ridge to McCaysville to Blairsville. We are known for our outdoor adventures: hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, ziplining through the trees, whitewater rafting on the Ocoee River, where the 1996 Atlanta Olympic whitewater events were done. The Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad that runs along the Toccoa River to McCaysville. Fannin County (Blue Ridge) is the Trout Capital of GA. Gilmer County, Ellijay, is the Apple Capital of GA. Brasstown Bald, the highest point in GA is only 45 mins away in Union county. Shopping and dining in our vibrant downtowns. Museums. Art, Festivals. And the Harrah Cherokee Casino in Murphy, NC is only 25-20 minutes north. I could go on and on. We suggest you visit the Fannin County Chamber website, the Union County Blairsville Chamber (north of us), the Gilmer County Chamber (south of us), Polk County, TN Chamber (Copperhill area), Cherokee County, NC Chamber (Murphy/Hayesville area) - they all have tons of info we think you will enjoy. They are a wealth of information and all do a great job of promoting our area. Look over these sites between now and your visit and if you have any questions or need recommendations, we can assist. The host is an avid hiker and has been hiking and backpacking in the area since the mid-70s. We love the area and we think you will, too. We can also make recommendations for dining in our Blue Ridge area and we have 3 brand new restaurants that have recently opened in McCaysville, our next boom town, right on the river and our border with TN where the Toccoa River becomes the Ocoee in TN. If you're into good wine, there are many good wineries from Jasper (30 minutes south of Blue Ridge) to Clayton in NE GA. And craft breweries around, too. Check out the Fannin County Chamber website - use the search feature. You can rent a boat on Lake Blue Ridge. Plus one company does boat tours. If you've never tried Ziplining it's a blast and several around the area. Have you rode the scenic railroad? Whitewater rafting or just float down the river - many outfitters. We're the Trout Capital of GA - many good outfitters available. Clay shooting at Noontootla Creek Farms. Waterfalls all over - in GA, TN, and NC. Blue Ridge is only 15 miles or less from TN and NC. Brasstown Bald is the highest point in GA at a mile high and it's only 45 miles away. Several nice state parks in Union County north of us. Visit the Ocoee Whitewater Center in TN where the 1996 whitewater events took place and the drive along the Ocoee River all the way to Benton TN is absolutely gorgeous. The Chamber has printable maps on all of this. Or visit their office across the 4-lane from Ingles. The Ducktown Basin Museum is a great hidden gem just outside McCaysville and Copperhill. You will learn a lot about the old copper mine in Copperhill - very interesting. And there's the Baugh House ran by the Blue Ridge Historical Foundation - downtown Blue Ridge - interesting, too. If you're into casinos, Harrah's Cherokee Casino in Murphy NC is less than 30 minutes away. We don't think you will run out of anything to do. And, our cabin is a great place to return to and relax and unwind. Don't hesitate to contact the host with any questions. Our area is very large and lots of mountains so it's best to have a vehicle to get around. There are several transportation companies that conduct tours such as winery tours and trips to the casino in Murphy. Check the Chamber sites to find them. The driveway is short and a little steep and gravel. Depending on what kind of vehicle you are driving, you may find it best to back into the driveway to facilitate an easier exit from the cabin. Do your best to not spin and tear up the gravel. If you start to spin, ease off the gas and you’ll get a better grip on the gravel. It’s just part of living on top of a mountain with a gorgeous view.
