The entry level has a Cape Cod suite with a king bed and private bathroom, and two other bedrooms with access to the large private patio and hot tub. The Garden bedroom has a king bed with a stand up desk, and the Theater bedroom has two chair beds that each open into a single twin bed. These two bedrooms share a full bathroom on this level. On the next level is the kitchen and dining room (seats 12), with a 1/2 bath next to the dining room. A few steps up from the dining area is the living room, with a nice sun deck, a few steps up and you have a pool table loft and the Hoso suite with a king size bed (+ an bonus twin daybed which is not listed) and full bathroom. Street parking is allowed but not recommended, but the large driveway easily accommodates up to 6 cars. Switi Hoso is one of the closest house to the beach trail head. Short to Pinnacle Gulch trail and loop back at low tide to Tail Gulch trail. More seasoned hikers can hike 1 mile to Doran Beach Park; a wide, 2-mile stretch of bay beach. Discover 'The Links at Bodega Harbour': Experience the beauty and challenge of a true Scottish style links golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. Combining spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean, rolling fairways, undulating greens and native coastal rough, this golf course is sure to take your breath away Here are a few hike ideas for your trip: 1) Beaches close proximity to Switi Hoso: there are 2 trails leading to 2 separate beaches (both shown on 'all trails app' maps). On the south called Shorttrail gulch trail (go down the hill from driveway, turn left and you will see the trail head on left after 100 or so yards. It's a 10 to 15 minutes walk down to beach. When tide is low you can hike south along the rocky shore until you get to Estero Americano river. It's a demanding hike requiring walking on rocks for much of the way. There is one point called Wall Street that can only be traversed (w/o getting wet) when tide is 0 ft or lower. This beach is generally deserted. The trail on north side called Pinnacle Gulch Trail (turn right from driveway and walk down the hill, the trail starts across from parking lot). It a 20 minute walk to beach. Going West on can reach Doran Beach if the tide is under 2 feet and you are willing to craw through a cave... The 2 hikes can be combined by going down on one trail, walking on shore to other beach and returning on the 2nd trail. Walk between beaches may not be possible when tide is high and requires to walk on rocks. See the Switi Hoso web side. 2) Bodega Head: it's a 10 minute drive from the house to the Bodega Head parking lot. Take the trail south along the cliffs. Stay on path closer to ocean. It gets back to road close to parking lot. it's an easy 40 minute hike with spectacular ocean views. There are a couple of places along the way that allow you to descend to water level but it's tricky and slippery. On a nice day you can stop at Spud Point (on way to Bodega Head) and get their famous clam chowder or crab sandwiches for a picnic at bodega head. There are picnic tables close to parking lot but also half way along the trail. 3) Kortum Trail and Goat Rock beach: this is a spectacular beach 20 minutes drive north on highway 1 before you get to Jenner. If you are looking for a Sandy beach (often with seals) go to northern parking lot. If you prefer a rocky beach go to southern parking lot. The road from highway 1 to the beach parking lots has a few informal parking areas before you descend to beach. From these parking areas you will find trails going toward the ocean that connect to the Kortum Trail which continues south and connect several beaches. it's an easy several mile path along the cliffs overlooking the pacific. if you continue to end of trail and return to Goat Rock beach it could be a half day easy hike. 4) Point Reyes station: for serious hikes you can drive south on highway 1 to the visitor center at Point Reyes Station (45 minutes) through Tomales Bay. From the visitor center you can start easy to medium+ hikes covering portions of Point Reyes reserve up to all days hikes. Discover the magnificent tule elk roaming free.
