Our truly unique all metal home has two comfortable bedrooms with new mattresses, big kitchen/living room, tall ceilings and concrete floors. Located in Kingsland TX; away from the hustle and bustle but close to so much! Looking for a retreat in the texas hill country? Our unique all metal house with two bedrooms and one bath is super clean and very comfortable. The area has so much to offer in terms of boating, hiking, biking, antiquing and wine tours and our "shack" offers a convenient and cost effective way to make your get away a reality. Kingsland is a very small town outside of the Austin area and in the hill country; it is in a rural area which is unincorporated. We love to go there to unwind and recharge our batteries. Being unincorporated means that some of our neighbors have dogs, pigs, chickens, etc. Its so eclectic and filled with friendly people. Perfect place to call home on your next trip to Kingsland; stained concrete flooring throughout, rugs, microfiber sheets, new mattresses, and big kitchen. About a mile from the water, huge area to pull your boat into. The front drive can hold a boat and several cars. King bed in master, queen in second bedroom. Wireless Internet. No cable but we do have streaming tv with Roko and Netflix. Central air and heat. Wi-fi throughout house which is a plus. ****Please note that we will not lower temperature in the summer months lower than 72 degrees. It has to run all day and night under 72 degrees. However, 72 degrees in the Shack is about 68 degrees in a traditional home. Pets must be approved and are on a case by case basis- there is a fee. Small fenced side yard-neighbors have dogs that will bark at your dog :) The entire house is yours. You aren't going to be sharing with anyone. Only registered guests are allowed on or in the property; max of four guests. The outside shed and garage are off limits. Two nice sized bedrooms, full bath, washer dryer, etc. We offer a huge kitchen with full sized appliances; stove, fridge and microwave. Fully stocked with pots and pans, utensils, cookie sheets, etc. We have a crock pot, toaster, coffee pot and hand held blender. Please no bonfires- seriously we had a guest want to have a bonfire during a huge burn ban :) I try to get a sense of who is staying, so I will ask questions and respond relatively quickly to communications. We will generally be here to greet you, however if we can’t, our neighbors are amazing and good friends. If we can't help you, we will contact someone that can. Kingsland is a hidden gem, located less than hour to the Austin area. Beautiful hills, lakes and scenery as you drive to the area. If you are from the city- this is rural; meaning you may hear a dog or the occasional rooster and you definitely won’t feel like your in the city. We are unincorporated and so our block (I say that loosely- its more like a 10 acre block) is mixed with houses, trailers and rv’s. We have an HEB, couple of gas stations, several restaurants, boat rentals, banks and churches. We have WiFi at the house, allowing you to be connected with the outside world if you so desire. We recommend that you visit the local restaurants, the slab, log country cove and wineries. We are absolutely blessed to be able to own our own piece of Kingsland. No public transportation. We do not have traditional cable TV here. We do have a 55" tv in the living room with streaming Roku and a 43" smart TV in the bedroom. connect to your favorite networks and accounts. we offer Netflix, hulu, and dvd. The area is rural; meaning you will hear the occasional barking dog and the occasional rooster. There are many wonderful places to visit nearby--State parks, amazing Colorado and llano rivers, wineries a short drive and select restaurants and bars are close by. Marble Falls has even more food and beverage options and is fun to visit.
