Casa del Pajaro (Bird House) is a warm and relaxing home away from home. It is centrally located in Taos, in a quiet neighborhood, close to the historic downtown district, shopping and great restaurants. We have fully outfitted our home to provide you with every convenience you may need. You will enjoy forever mountain views from the large, private walled courtyard, that includes several seating areas and a BBQ grill. Enter through the front door to view a charming kiva fireplace warming the living and dining room areas. The living room space features a leather couch and original Native American artwork, giving guests a unique Taos experience. The living room includes a 32" flat screen TV with access to Netflix and local channels. WiFi/ high speed internet access provided. The kitchen is fully equipped to handle any kind of meal, with quality cooking utensils and appliances including toaster, blender, coffee maker and microwave oven. Each bedroom has a queen size bed with 4 pillows, comforter and extra blankets/throws. A covered carport is attached to the home and available for your parking use. There are no video surveillance devices on this property. Our guests have full access to the entire home, carport and walled courtyard. Information on the history/culture, local restaurants, shopping, museums and galleries will be made available on check in. We live across the street and will be available if needed. Taos is a wonderful place to visit...no matter the season. In summer active visitors can mountain bike, river raft, hike, fish and many other outdoor sports. In the winter, of course the main event is skiing, downhill or cross country, snow shoeing, sledding, ice fishing and when the weather permits hiking, biking. Taos is relatively small, so from the house you can drive to most locations within 15 minutes.
