Come visit our cozy apartment by the fjord! With free snowshoes and fishing gear! We want you to have the true fjord experience of northern Norway! Hike or fish during the day, and sit by the fire at night and wait for the northern lights 💚 When the ice conditions are good you can even rent our snowmobile. You get freshly baked goods upon arrival along with lots of tips for getting the most out of your stay. 20 min by car from Tromsø. Close to the road, so it is easy to find. Welcome! If you want to stay close to the city, but experience the Norwegian nature every day, our place is perfect for you! There is less light polution here, so you can even experience the northern lights in the evenings. The newly renovated apartment in the basement is warm and cozy with floor heating. There is one big bedroom with a 150 cm double bed, and a living room with a sofa bed. There is also a brand new smaller bedroom with one 140 cm double bed. The apartment is best suited for 4 people. But can accommodate uptown 6 people upon request ☺️ We supply the fire pit by the fjord with everything you need: wood, fire starters, comfortable and chairs with reindeer skins. You can cozy up by the fire while waiting for the northern lights, making smores or enjoying a cup of cocoa. The house is next to a road with traffic during rushhours, but not much at night. And the bedrooms are turned away from the road. It is quiet down by the sea. When you are indoors, you can snuggle up on the couch to play a game, watch some netflix or maybe play som lp records on our vintage vinyl player. You get the whole place for yourselves, with your own entry and access to the small garden, but more importantly to the shore 50m downhill from the house. As me and my family live in the 1st floor, I will be available during your stay most of the time. We will help you with how you use the fishing and hiking gear and give you tips on places to visit nearby. I will text you and make sure everything is ok. If you want a place to use as a starting point for great adventures, our place is perfect for you! We are close to both Tromsø, Lyngen and even a short and beautiful drive (2h) to Finland. 30 minutes from here you can see get a beautiful view of the Lyngen alps or take a ferry to get there. It is nice to stay outside the city to see the real northern Norway! We have lots of tips to beautiful places to explore. What is really nice about our location is that since we are located inside a fjord, it is protected from wind from The coast. Therefore it is often a bit warmer here than in the city. There is a bus stopping right outside the apartment. The bus stop is «Bjørkeneset». You Can see the bus route on tromskortet dot no. It is best to use a car to get around in the local area as the bus only goes into the city. Let me know if you are coming by bus. I will give you some more tips ☺️ There is one free parking spot. When you arrive you get a brochure full of our best sightseeing advice. You can borrow our fishing gear for free to fish for cod and herring. We have up to 6 available snowshoes in different sizes + poles which you Can use free of charge! You Can also rent our warmsuits for only 100nok per stay. They are great when you sit down by the fire 😍 There will be some coffe and tea, cooking oil, salt/pepper available for you to use. Since we do live in the upstairs apartment you will be able to hear us when we are awake, but we do try to take as much consideration as possible ☺️
