Many guests enjoy having our recommended private chef prepare incredible meals here, if that interests your group please let us know. However our kitchen offers guests the ability to prepare their own meals with supplies for up to 14 guests. Playa Esterillos Oeste is an authentic little surf village located on the Pacific Coast, COSTA RICA just 15 minutes south of the tourist hot spot JACO and only 1.5 hours by car from SJO airport Known for its stunning 4* blue flag sandy beach, great surf and incredible tide pools which feature our very own mermaid statue. A relaxed and charming little town offers peace and tranquility with incredible surrounding tropical nature, flora&fauna. Playa Esterillos Oeste is a sweet hidden gem! A perfect tropical paradise escape, It has an authentic vibe of a sleepy surfer family friendly town with a great mix of local families living "PURA VIDA" and plenty of expats enjoying this peaceful community. Our town has within walking distance of EPIC OESTE 2 local stores, 2 pizza shops and most notably the incredible restaurant: Los Almendros - great for lunch and dinner. So there are plenty of options for feeding the whole group! We are happy to assist you in organizing private transportation-please let us know otherwise you can easily drive to our home. Only 1.5 hours by car from SJO airport 4x4 not required - onsite parking for 9 cars Our space is unique and open aired so it's not a typical or traditional home. It's best enjoyed when your group socialize on the first floor pool area during the days/nights and use the bedrooms as need be. Second Floor- All rooms are private with doors and locks. - Sliding glass doors remain shut and locked. Remember we live at the beach so among creatures like Iguanas, Scarlett macaws and other wildlife or nature will be near by. As we say, we are in their space. As of result of living beach side- the area in general can be affected with inconstant electricity or water supply. We recommend you buying bottled water and provide a water dispenser to use if you would like. Temporary unexpected outages of water - WIFI - electricity can occur in our area and when this occurs hosts will always do our best to assist however possible :) No guard rails near the sliding glass doors in rooms. If opened take caution. Modern minimal style open aired staircase leading to second floor. Guests do not have access to 3rd floor. Hosts live in a separate house on the back of the property with 2 Great Dane dogs, they stay away typically and are friendly. Also a local horse has adopted us and randomly comes to visit when he chooses to( he is friendly ). The beach access is open with no gate.
