Other transportation options include private car services such as Trans Cabo. FAQ CASA ANIMAS Should I rent a car, do I need a 4x4 to access the property or visit popular destinations? We recommend renting a car to access Casa Animas and all the wonderful beaches in Los Cabos. Rentals can be found at the airport, all the major brands are represented and no different than renting a car in the USA. You can access the property and most destinations with any type of car. A 4x4 could be more fun to explore off the beaten track dirt roads of the more undeveloped East Cape. Do you have strong and reliable internet I need to work or have an important work call. We have extremely fast and reliable fibre optic internet service from Telmex. Of course we cannot make you a 100% guarantee in the case of a weather or repair related situation that is out of our control and temporarily delays the signal. In this case we suggest using cellular data or to find a cafe to make your call. Can you make an exception to your cancellation policy for my unique circumstance. We default to the Airbnb cancellation policy as per the agreement stated on your booking. We strongly suggest travel insurance if you forsee any disruptions to your plans. No our minimum stay and price is set depending on season, occupancy and keeping the time and operating costs down for each check in and check out. The mimimum stay and price will be stated at your time of booking and cannot be changed. Will I experience a hurricane? Hurricane season is generally July to October. Most storms veer off at the last minute and the typical experience is some heavy rain. However with climate change the storms are getting larger and the season is lasting longer. We urge our guests to closely monitor the weather and take all precautions and responsibilty for their safety. We cannot predict if, when and how strong a hurricane may be. Storms may cause interruptions in utilities beyond our control. We highly recommend travel insurance for any disruptions to your travel plans. Can make an exception to your no children and no pet policy or the other rules on your listing? No, sorry we cannot make an exception. How far is the beach? Using a map app you can check distance from Animas Bajas to the many varied beach options in Los Cabos region. The closest beach would be in La Playa or the Ganzo Beach Club. You can also try Palmilla or Chileno Bay. For more natural beaches or surfing you can explore the East Cape. All beaches in Mexico are open to the public. Do you offer beach club access? Many of the nearby resort hotels have beach club access for non guests, sometimes with a minimum food and beverage charge. You need to contact the resort direct for information as this often changes last minute depending on the resort occupancy and season. Try Ganzo Beach Club which is 10 minutes by car from Casa Animas. Is it safe to drink the water? The house is on city water - and overall water in Los Cabos is relatively clean - in our opinion we feel it is ok to use to brush your teeth etc, however we would recommend using the water filter built into the fridge for drinking water. If you would like to be more certain please feel free to purchase bottled water. Can I have an early check in or late check out? We are very happy to do this when we can, however we cant make promises in advance as we may not yet have our cleaning schedule for previous and next guest.
