Tucked into a beautiful landscape with great views, Kilima A-frame is the perfect weekend hideaway. With a full glass wall facing mount Kenya and the stars, an outdoor kitchen and en-suite bathroom, you get full comfort with a glamping vibe. The A-frame is located on a big, guarded, private plot 15 min from Nanyuki. Feel free to walk around, pet the donkeys and pigs, watch the sunset from the treehouse or enjoy the fire-heated sauna with a plunge pool. Welcome! Karibu! The house is built as an A-frame with a full glass wall on one side and a protecting roof behind. Inside you find a small bathroom with hot and cold water (potable from the tap) and a water toilet. Outside you find sitting furniture and a simple kitchenette (gas stove, sink and basic amenities) for luxury camping meals. At night you can ask our nightguard Stephen to light a fire under the stars or take in the sunset from the treehouse at the center of the plot. Wake up to views of three mountain chains- Mount Kenya, the Aberdares and Lolldaigas. Guests can enjoy a big open area around the house where there is full privacy. Around the plot there are a few other houses where one might hear other guests as well as some shared areas such as the treehouse and a small pond. While the Kilima A-frame is a rare gem it's also worth highlighting that it's a basic house that intends to make guests feel like you are in nature rather than a full comfort structure. If you like the idea of really being in nature while still having the comfort of a soft bed, hot water and roof over your head, this is for you.
