Caribbean Casa is located at the northern end of Isla Mujeres, a small tropical island eight miles from Cancun across the Bay of Mujeres. Travelling to the island from the Cancun International Airport takes one hour via airport shuttle and high speed ferry. Located on Mexico’s easternmost shores, Isla Mujeres is five miles long and less than a half-mile wide. It is ideal for walking, shelling, relaxing, and exploring with a golf cart, moped or bicycle. Our home sits on the edge of the Caribbean Sea, on the island’s well known malecon (ocean walkway) and across from the Naval Base on Avenida Juarez. Caribbean Casa is located on one of the main routes into Centro so there is a lot to see from the upper deck but there can be street noise as well as hearing the Navy practice their drills and marches which we find very charming. The island’s center, a vibrant fishing village with many shops and restaurants, is a five minute walk from the Casa. Recently achieving Pueblo Magico status, Isla Mujeres also boasts one of the top 10 beaches in the world, Playa Norte, which is also a short walk from Caribbean Casa. Whether you have been downtown shopping & dining, or relaxing all day at the world famous Playa Norte beach, it is only a short walk home to Caribbean Casa along the malecon or quaint Avenida Juarez where you can relax and enjoy the tranquil view with a drink or snack from one of your own furnished and private balconies. Most of our guests will rent a golf cart or moped - there is a parking space in front of the casa.
