"Olaje" is about as close to the beach as you can get in Playa Guiones. Private path to beach; in the prestigious "Guiones Beach Club", a gated community with 24/7 security. Lush native plantings, fruit trees, herbs. High ceilings for ventilation Our house was built with comfort and the outdoors in mind. The high ceilings have high louvred screened Windows to let the breezes cool the space; All rooms have ceiling fans, (even the bathrooms). All bedrooms have Air Conditioners. All furniture and Windows were crafted Local from native hardwoods by local carpenters. You can sleep with the Master Bedroom open to the screened porch, which opens onto the saltwater pool. The private path to the beach is a short walk from the house to the bottom of the entrance to the Guiones Beach Club. Follow the road to the left and you will see a palm-tree-lined path. The entire house is yours; there is a separate owner apartment on site but the 2 spaces have individual entrances and outdoor space. If the owners are here during your stay you may choose to interact with them or not. There is a washer/dryer on site but we ask that you have the cleaning staff access it for you for a nominal fee. There is a full Property Management staff to take care of your needs. The owners are on site 2 to 3 times per year; they are happy to help as needed and interact socially; purely up to you. Playa Guiones, Nosara, is a community of surfers, Yoga enthusiasts and vacationers who want to soak up the Pura Vida attitude of Costa Rica. Costa Rica in general, and Nosara specifically is a focus of ecological sustainability and the “Green” lifestyle. Please keep in mind the following: WATER is precious and is limited in the “dry” season, January through April. Please keep your usage smart. TAP WATER is safe to drink; we have been drinking it for 20 years. You do not need to buy individual bottles of water; The management of PLASTICs is a big problem and adds to pollution. If you do not feel like you want to drink the tap water as is, please boil it and store it in the fridge for drinking. Please be mindful of separating the trash from recycling. There is a guide to recycling on the fridge. Please do not put compostable material in the trash. It makes more trash and makes the trash stinky and attracts insects and wild animals. If you plan to tool around the local area you do not need a car; although many people rent them at the airport. We prefer to take a taxi and use bikes. Many people rent bikes, golf carts or ATV's. This is a non-smoking property. Please do not encourage any friendly dogs to hang out; do not feed them or invite them in. Please compost all food scraps; meat/fish/poultry across the street in the jungle; Vegetable matter behind the garbage bin. Recycles go in clear plastic bags (under kitchen sink or in a drawer in the kitchen
