Wotten Waven 10 min drive public sulphur hot pools. Grocery 2 min walk. One bedroom is fitted with a queen size bed and its own en suite full bathroom; a large door open from this room to a private veranda. The two other bedrooms share another full bathroom. One of these rooms furnished with a double bed, and the other smaller room a single bed. There is a spacious living dining area that flows into each other from a large fully contained kitchen. This spacious area is wrapped with an 8 ft veranda to the south and west. The semi-opened space on the lower level is reserved for parking and laundry, sheltered air-drying on clothes lines. The laundry area is well ventilated but enclosed for privacy. Whole house available, including laundry, private parking. Services include cable TV and internet. A washing machine is available at the lower level for guest use. Housekeeping services can be arranged upon request at an additional cost. A baby playpen is available on request for children under two years at no additional cost. Guest does own laundry. Clothe line and laundry in covered semi-enclosed area. As part of Government of Dominica’s COV ID-19 Protocol and Certification, interactions with Guests are not allowed except for daily Temperature log using an infra-red temperature scanner while wearing masks and keeping 6 ft distance. National Parks/ Waterfalls/ Sulphur wellness area/ Walking Trails/ Catholic Church. Trafalgar is home to the Trafalgar Falls, a twin waterfall in addition to hot and cold water bathing pools in the river. Wellness-Centres with natural hot water sulphur spas are about five to ten (5-10) minutes drive away in the nearby village of Wotten Waven. Trafalgar is located just outside the Morne Trois Pitons National Park. Morne Trois Pitons National Park is the home of the Boiling Lake, Fresh Water Lake, Boeri Lake and several other natural water features. One segment of the National Trail passes through the village, segment four (4) from Wotten Waven to Laudat. A Catholic Church Chapel is 2 minutes walk away. There are also a few convenience shops on either side of the village, and a few places to find simple meals. Are there areas to obtain grocery items? Groceries and fresh fruits and vegetables can be obtained at supermarkets in Roseau and the Roseau Market. In addition, some basic items can be found in the village small retail shop outlets. Is public transport available? The house is located along the main road. There are several buses travelling to and from Roseau from Monday to Saturday. Although buses are available throughout the day, the most reliable hours are between 7a.m. to 10:00a.m , 12 noon to 2p.m. and 3:30p.m. to 6:00p.m. Is there somewhere nearby to eat? There are restaurants and eating areas in Roseau which is about 15 minutes drive. Check in is from 3:00 pm; however earlier arrangements can be made if there are no guests checking out. Trafalgar has a history of catering for tourists on account of the location of the Trafalgar Falls and is relatively safe. There have been no reported or known incidents of violence against visitors. However, one needs to exercise caution and take basic personal safety precautions, such as avoiding walks alone at nights, not keeping personal belongings exposed in unlocked vehicles and keeping doors locked at nights and when out of area.
