Our caretaker is 15 minutes away and ready to assist with anything you may need, be it dinner reservations, excursions to the other islands, or information regarding the area and its history. Dario is an accomplished cook and will happily provide meal service upon request. The general rate is 120 USD or Euro per meal plus cost of food. Dario is happy to shop for food for you for a 20% markup on items purchased locally or 30% markup for items purchased in Dubrovnik. Daily cleaning included. A recently restored 15th Century restored chapel sits just outside the stone walls and is surrounded by ancient cypress and olive groves. Views to the Adriatic and village entice you from every corner of the compound. The island is almost 5 miles square and one of the Elaphite islands off the southern coast of Dalmacia, Croatia and one of the few that operates with no cars. One can walk from the house to most places on the island , often stumbling on ruins with the rich history of the island. There are many swimming spots to explore, with the azure sea welcoming at each turn. There is no transport on the island unless you consider taking the public golf carts that take you from the harbor to the sandy beach on the other side of the island. Paddle skis and canoes are available to hire from the beach facing the harbor , or alternatively rent a bicycle to tour the island Our local caretaker will meet you at the Harbor when you arrive and for a minimal charge if you wish, have people help you with your luggage up to the house. There are two basic food shops for essentials and a fresh fruit and vegetable stand on the harbor. We encourage everyone to use the shopping list from our caretaker/ manager who will ensure you have the basic necessities on hand when you arrive, including drinks. Croatian wines are available for purchase from our cellar. Cleaning lady included for three hours per day during which she can launder and iron. Additional hours are available on request. Chef also available on request at two days notice. The caretaker is about 500 mts away and ready to assist with any thing you need, be it dinner reservations , excursions to the other islands or regarding the area and its history. The caretaker can make arrangements for you to be picked up at the airport and brought to the island by car and speedboat. It takes about an hour. The alternative is a ferry from Gruz harbor in Dubrovnik which takes about an hour.
