The views are equally stunning no matter if you are relaxing in the front Rancho or at the back gorgeous, poolside area and terrace. Pride of ownership shines throughout this gorgeous 4 bedroom home PLUS a detached Casita (Little House) on the property. The Casita has two queen beds and a full bath. The beautiful entrance invites you into an open concept living and dining area great for entertaining. A spacious gourmet kitchen with convenient breakfast bar is situated to take advantage of the VIEWS of both sides of the Canyon. The kitchen has Granite countertops and beautiful handmade Red Cedar wood cabinetry with lots of storage space. Two sets of Large wooden sliding doors off the spacious living room lead to an oversized covered terrace with spectacular views over the Central Valley and the Town of Atenas. The master suite is spacious with access to the patio and pool. The bathroom has a vanity with tropical design double sinks, a brand new terrazzo soaking tub, separate shower, and separate toilet room with extra single sink. High vaulted wooden ceilings in the living and dining area separates the master from the three other bedrooms, offering privacy and space, all accompanied by large oversized glass windows makes this home unique. Total Sleeping/bedding capabilities are as below. DETAILS: - Four bedrooms in the main house. 2 King beds, 1 Queen bed & 2 twin size bunk beds. Sleeps 8 - One bedroom separated from the main house in a guest house(Casita) with full bathroom and very large, private balcony with 2 Queen beds. Sleeps 4. Entire Complex now has: - Two King beds, 3 Queen beds, 2 Twin beds. Another special feature is the gorgeous panoramic Rancho which connects to the front Casita. Also in the front of the house is a large Viewing Deck. Both are hovering over the edge of infinity and are perfect for Early morning Yoga or just sitting with a delicious cup of fresh brewed Costa Rican Coffee listening to and watching the many species of birds that abound here. Note: The climate in our region is such that air conditioning is never needed (and nobody in the Atenas area has it). Daily temperature average 72-84 F and nights are 58-65 F. There are also multiple fans throughout the home and bedrooms. The house maintains a very comfortable ambient temperature due to its solid, thick walks. Gated, private, and secure, surrounded by lush, tropical gardens. The VIEWS The Tranquility, Privacy and Spacious well appointed rooms. Groups of all size will have access to the pool and all outdoor spaces. The neighborhood is a gated community a short walk to the center of Atenas. Atenas downtown is about a five minute drive or 25 minute downhill walk. The gated neighborhood has a single road in and out and is hilly, but that is why we have the incredible views. Atenas is a small town but has many nice restaurants and grocery stores. Atenas is centrally located. We are about 1.5 hours from La Paz waterfalls which has a great sanctuary if you love sloths, macaws, monkeys, big cats, butterflies, humming birds, etc. We are 60 minutes from Jaco beach. Deep sea fishing is available there as well as surfing. The international SJO airport is about 30 minutes away. The capital city of San Jose is about one hour away. La Fortuna, a favorite destination has world class hot springs. Travel time is about 2,5 hours through San Ramon, but a pretty drive. Another favorite waterfall about 1 hour away is Los Chorros. Actually two great waterfalls in one place. Worth the visit and has a 20 minute moderate hike to the falls. You can actually wade in the water up to the waterfalls. The rainy season is not that rainy. Usually afternoon showers, much like Florida in the summer. October is the only very rainy month.
