The house has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a fully fitted kitchen. There's two very spacious bedrooms one with a king size bed, the second bedroom has a queen size bed and a twin, both have a private bathroom and ample closet space. The third bedroom has a queen size bed. All bedrooms have screened windows, sheer and blackout roller shades. Beds have top quality premium linens, for a dreamy sleeping experience. Beach and pool towels are provided and daily housekeeping (optional) is included with your stay. There's a utility room with a washer / dryer and a half bath. We have a broadband fiber optic network at 100 Mbps, the WiFi extends all the way to the pool area. A very stable WiFi connection, excellent for remote work, video conferencing, etc. Nest smoke and carbon monoxide detector. We have a super stylish and fully fitted kitchen, with beautiful teak wood cabinets. If you like cooking you are going to love our setup. Modern appliances, kitchenware, glassware, serve-ware, pots, pans and cutlery so you can cook up a storm. There's a 5-burner gas range, oven, coffee maker, coffee bean grinder, electric kettle, blender, microwave and toaster oven. The kitchen opens up to a spacious covered terrace, which you'll find a seven piece patio set, perfect for your morning coffee, breakfast or a dinner setup. Hang in one of the hammocks on the terrace or just walk over to the pool to cool off and relax to the sound of the tropics and the nearby surf. Don't be surprised when you see the cute local Howler Monkey family hanging out in our trees. The great thing about our pool deck is it's humungous tiki hut, which throws a perfect shade over the pool's shallows so you can lounge during the warmest hours of the day. You'll also find a few hammocks, lounge chairs, gas grill, mini bar and a large outdoor dining table next to the pool and under the tiki hut. What makes our location ideal is the fact that you're within a short walk to the beautiful beaches and tide pools of Mal Pais. Our location is a short drive to downtown where you'll find excellent dining options, some fun nightlife and little boutiques for shopping. Welcome to Mal Pais! Our property is 1.25 acres of lush tropics. Relax poolside or take a stroll to the beautiful beaches and tide pools of Mal Pais. I'm in close correspondence with our guests during their inquiry and throughout their stay. I answer questions within a few hours at all times. Our neighborhood is essentially the little town of Mal Pais. Mal Pais practically hugs the coastline so you can just take a walk from the house to town and explore the gorgeous coastline. On low tide you will find some amazing tide pools. We have Super Chico an excellent grocery / liquor store that is a 10 minute walk at most from the house. Hours of operation are from 8AM - 8PM, 7 days a week. They also have a nice selection of veggies and fruits. Wine, beer, liquor and ice are available as well. La Doña Teresa Pizzeria, is just around the corner from the property (a 5 minute walk). It has excellent wood fired pizza, delicious empanadas, pasta and a full bar. La Esquinita is a cozy little cafe right next to the pizzeria. It's open from 7:30 am - 2:30 pm everyday until besides Mondays. It's a 5 minute walk from the property. Tierra Mar is small soda with delicious food next to La Esquinita Cafe. Also a 5 minute walk from the property. Sodas are restaurants which serve typical Costa Rican food and other menu items. The Mal Pais Canopy / Zip-line tour is a 5 minute drive from the property and I highly recommend our guests to zip line along it's 11 platforms through the Mal Pais Jungle. Ask us to book your tour in advance they have a 9am, 11am and 3pm tour. Super fun for all ages! One of the nicest things about our neighborhood is the Mal Pais Fishery, which is just down the road, it's a 3 drive or a 10 minute walk. You can head over there and buy fresh fish right off the line from the local fisherman. You can buy the fish whole or they'll filet it for you right on the spot. The types of fish to expect; Snapper, Grouper, Yellow-fin Tuna, Mahi, Amber Jack, Snook and Sea Bass. The best way to explore our fascinating coastline, waterfalls and exciting town is by having a rental car or an ATV during your stay. I'm happy to arrange Honda 2-seater ATVs or 4-seater Honda Pioneers to our guests. Just message me once you've booked and I'll have them delivered to your door step. Playa Cuevas aka Playa Los Suecos -- 1km This is by far one of the most beautiful beaches along the Mal Pais and Santa Teresa coastline and it's a 5 minute drive from our property. A little hidden trail opens up to a magical tropical beach. This white sand beach hugs the Cabo Blanco Absolute Reserve, it's more beautiful then the many pictures you'll find online. Great spot to come relax with family and friends, lots of shade you can even go snorkeling. It's exactly 1km away, many of our guests choose to take the walk over there. Playa Carmen and Santa Teresa -- 4km Both beaches are 4km from our property, a 10 minute drive at most. White sand beaches great to relax and dozens of fun peaks to surf at. Check out beach front Restaurante Playa Carmen, for a great atmosphere, good food and excellent cocktails. They also have beach lounge chairs for rent so you can relax to the max! The Mal Pais Fishery -- 1km One great perk our guests get to really enjoy is our proximity to the Mal Pais fishery. You can buy fresh fish straight from the line from local fisherman, which they'll filet for you on the spot. It's literally 5 minutes from the property. Local Tours & Activities I highly recommend our guests to explore Mal Pais, Santa Teresa and Montezuma there are some really beautiful and magical spots here. There's ideal spots here for beginners, intermediate and advanced level surfers. It's literally a surfers paradise, tons of peaks to choose from! Yoga, Pilates & Massages Our guests can schedule private yoga and pilates classes in our poolside tiki hut. Just ask us ahead of time so we can notify our instructor. There are also a couple really good yoga and pilates studios in town we can recommend just let us know if you're interested. The same goes for massage therapy, we can arrange them to come to the house or we can recommend a couple really nice spas in town. Private Chef Services Private chef services are available to our guests. Ask us for our breakfast, lunch and dinner menu options. Vegetarian, vegan and kid menus are available.
