Kalumina…the perfect place to stay! Across the lane from the beach in Playa Grande, our four bedroom home is nestled on a large landscape with a pool in front and the nature reserve at the back. Most likely, you'll see monkeys, iguanas & fauna right in the front and back yard or as you return from taking in the sunset on the secluded beach. The main house has 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths as well as a semi-attached guest house with complete bedroom/bath suite. The kitchen is newly renovated to include a dishwasher, full range stove & oven, making it a more spacious area to cook & share as a group. Kitchen is fully stocked, including large fridge. The spacious tiled and fully screened front patio (guest favorite) has double ceiling fans and a large built-in stainless steel gas grill. Other amenities include laundry room. Everything you need! There is a covered treehouse patio above the garage with hammocks and sitting area. Great space for a morning meditation or yoga session. The main house has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths, one bathroom which is outdoors, and adds for an experience in nature while bathing. The semi-attached guest house with complete bedroom/bath suite. Bedrooms come with sleeping arrangements: King bed - master bedroom Queen bed - 2nd bedroom with ensuite outdoor bathroom Queen bed & bunk bed - 3rd bedroom Semi-Attached Suite - queen bed & sofa bed We have private and secure parking for 3 or 4 vehicles. We are located in Palm beach Estates, Playa Grande which is a small gated community that sites between the estuary and the ocean. Our area is great, and safe to walk around in, and you can get to Tamarindo within 20 minutes by walking and taking a boat taxi (limited hours available). We do recommend having a rental car though in case you want to get out and explore on your own. If you decide against a rental car, we have a full concierge service to offer to find you a taxi or shuttle. We offer a full concierge service with needs such as transportation shuttles, rental cars, fun and adventurous tours in the area & local recommendations! Along with being available for any of your needs in regards to house questions. We offer a full walk-through of the house upon check-in because we have found that it helps enhance the experience for the guest. We do ask that in COVID times, only one person in the group follows us and the rest wait outside. This is to ensure that our staff and families are safe in these uncertain times. We are available to assist in any needs for the house or property to ensure you have an incredible stay! We are located on the south end of Playa Grande, in a small, quiet residencial area called Palm Beach. In the evenings, our area has night guards to keep you even more safe in what is a very safe country to start off with. Surrounded by several of Guanacaste’s finest restaurants and up-scale bars, all within walking distance. We are center to the pacific ocean & the national park estuary. We are far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the very touristy Tamarindo, but a short walk and boat ride across the estuary to head over there and shop for your souvenirs. Our area is definitely accessible without having a vehicle, but we would recommend having one if you would like to explore the surrounding area on your own schedule. Our property manager is available for rental car options, private shuttle options, even bike rentals if you want to just cruise around on two wheels. We do have two beach cruisers onsite which you are welcome to use! We have a very unique, and comfortable home which you will enjoy very much on your Costa Rican vacation.
