Our 'Cabin for All Seasons' is family-friendly and is nestled among tall pine trees on a quiet cul-de-sac within Blue Lake Springs, Arnold, CA. Cabin sleeps 8 persons - 3 bedrooms & 2 full bathrooms. First floor: 2 bedrooms - one queen bedroom, & one bedroom with twin bunk beds & one twin bed 1 queen sleeper sofa in living room 1 full bathroom - tub/shower Second floor: Master bedroom - 1 Cal king bed, 1 junior bed, and 1 twin daybed 1 bathroom w/shower Linens & towels are provided Our comfy living room has plenty of seating, a wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceiling, skylights, ceiling fan, and an unique tree stump table w/ glass top for playing cards/games, use as computer station, or for more formal dining. The cabin’s spacious kitchen, with gas stove/oven, Kitchen Aid dishwasher, microwave, coffeemaker, ample counters and cupboards, has all the amenities needed to accommodate cooking and baking for family and friends. There is counter seating for four, as well as an adjacent dining set that can accommodate up to eight people. The family room sits open to the kitchen, with a comfortable sofa and seating, HD TV/On-Demand programming/movies, and Internet/ Wi-fi. Sliding glass doors open on to our spacious deck facing the woods, including a hot tub w/ an additional fee, patio furniture, family-made picnic table and BBQ. Our cabin has central heating. The double-pane windows and extra insulation within the walls, ceiling and floors, keep the temperature inside comfortable during the winter and summer months. The trick in the summer is to open the windows at night to let the cool mountain air in and close them immediately in the morning to sustain the coolness throughout the day. The laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer. Our hot tub is available for a fee of $100 - and is serviced every Thursday all year long. Maximum 8 guests, children friendly, no smoking, and well-behaved pets are welcome – but beware we have no fences. Our garage will not be accessible to guests, and one closet in the master bedroom. All other spaces throughout the cabin are open to all guests. Wallace & I will be available by phone or email at any time. Our cabin is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac in the highly desirable Blue Lake Springs Association, 3 miles north of the town of Arnold on Highway 4. The Snowflake Lodge recreation facility is within an easy walking distance. From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend (guest fees apply) families can enjoy the Snowflake Lodge's large heated pool and kiddie pool, snack bar, children's playground, two private lakes, as well as tennis, volleyball, ping-pong, basketball, shuffleboard, children's crafts, and outdoor movies under the stars. And their lovely family restaurant is open weekend evenings all year long. Blue Lake Springs Recreation Facilities Guest Fees: Individual - $8 daily, $45 weekly Family - $25 daily, $125 weekly For those seeking family fun outside of Blue Lake Springs during the summer, spring & fall, there are many additional outdoor activities to enjoy; golfing, fishing and swimming in the Stanislaus River, paddling in Alpine Lake, experiencing the Giant Sequoias in Big Trees State Park, boating & water skiing on New Melones Lake Reservoir, horse back riding & panning for gold in Columbia State Park, zip lines & exploring the caves at Moaning Caverns, and wine tasting, shopping and exquisite dining in Murphy's. And for those who love day trips, it's a comfortable two hour drive to Yosemite National Park. During the winter season our cabin is within easy access to skiing, snowboarding and sledding. Bear Valley Ski Resort is only 25 miles north of Blue Lake Springs, and continues to be a family-friendly, winter wonderland, with ski classes for children thru adults, amazing ski runs to match all levels of difficulty, hills for sledding, and cross country trails. Their family friendly atmosphere make it a perfect alternative to fighting the crowds at the Lake Tahoe resorts. Our driveway will accommodate four cars. In case of a power outage, a full-house standby generator will automatically power the entire cabin. It will run for as long as there is propane in our tank - so it is advisable to limit the use of electicity to essentials.
