Open Loft/bath in beautiful updated cottage on 15 acres of woods 20 minutes from Burlington and the airport; above Lake Iroquois, five minutes from quaint HInesburg, Vermont! Cozy up by the woodstove in the open living room-sit on the front porch and enjoy the fresh air and your morning coffee. A campfire ring in the front yard has plenty of wood, comfy chairs--s'more makings always available! Walk/snowshoe through the hills/woods. Drive to nearby ski resorts, great bars/restaurants! This room is an open loft above the kitchen and accessed by a paddle stair. It has the bed area and a sitting area with a TV with Amazon Fire and wireless streaming capability--with a skylight above the bed and above the sitting area--airy and light! Futon folds out on floor for extra sleeping space. Note--driveway is steep and requires all-wheel drive vehicle in winter:-) You will have access to the loft, your private bath off the kitchen, the kitchen area, the living room, the porches, yard and hiking trails! Will provide coffee/tea/fresh homemade scones, breads, or muffins with my homemade jams/honeys every morning! I will most likely be available to assist you during your stay but always a phone call/text away if you need anything. Lake Iroquois has a public beach and boat launch which is only a few minutes away by car or can be accessed by walking through the woods and following the path around the lake. The HInesburg Public House is five minutes away and is a gathering place with a great bar and family-friendly restaurant where most food/meat is locally sourced and delicious! Papa Nicks provides Greek fare and comfort food. There is a local bakery/coffee shop, great pizza at the Good Times Cafe, Chinese take-out and the Paisley HIppo sandwich shop right in HInesburg--also five minutes away! Maple sugar shacks abound, many ski resorts 30-60 minutes away including Bolton Valley, Stowe, Mad River, others. . . Golf at picturesque Cedar Knoll Golf Club in HInesburg. You will need a car to get around out here in rural Vermont--but are so close to Burlington, Shelburne, Lake Champlain, airport, many parks and hiking/snowshoe trails. You will have to go up and down the paddle stairs to get from the loft to the bathroom off the kitchen. I do have a downstairs bed in an alcove in the living room that is available for an extra fee and is not as private as the loft, but is on the same floor as the bathroom and I communicate with guests to ensure privacy.
