This suite is perfect for a couple's getaway. It features a clawfoot tub in its bathroom, and views of the pool and surrounding gardens. You'll enjoy access to our in-ground seasonal swimming pool, landscaped grounds, free off-street parking, and large common areas inside our historic mansion to go with basic necessities like fast WiFi. We're a 7-minute walk to the top of Greenwich Avenue, and a 5-minute cab ride from the Greenwich Train Station. Please note that we do not have an elevator. Our historic mansion was first built in 1843. It was renovated in 1900 in a project led by New York architect Stanford White. The mansion has had a lot of different lives: private home, veteran’s home, hotel owned by the granddaughter of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, boarding house, and bed and breakfast. Much of the house still has little details and touches from the past: paneling, plasterwork, chandeliers. All our guest rooms are comfortable, cozy, and very private. Guests are warmly welcomed to explore the inviting common spaces of this exquisite inn, featuring a charming library, cozy seating areas by the fireplace, and a delightful dining room offering complimentary beverages and snacks. My team and I prioritize making the Inn feel like a home away from home for our guests. That means you have as much control as possible over your stay here. We're attentive but unobtrusive. We're here if you need us, but let you enjoy your privacy when you don't. Greenwich is a destination in and of itself. The leafy, residential street we're on is an easy walk from Greenwich Avenue. There are more than enough shops, restaurants, art galleries, coffee shops, and salons to keep you busy on a long weekend. Some of our favorite major attractions close to us include: The Bruce Museum (25 minute walk) Bush-Holley House (25 minute walk) The Greenwich Polo Club (20 minute drive) Greenwich Point Park and Beach (20 minute drive) Mianus River State Park (20 minute drive) And everything in our upscale Connecticut shoreline community is only an hour away from New York City via train or car. If you are driving here, one parking spot is available for each room in our parking lot. The Greenwich Train Station is a half-hour walk or 5-minute cab ride from us, with trains leaving on the half hour to Grand Central Terminal. The train takes about 40 minutes express, an hour on a local train. The local bus also runs along the Post Road, also known as Putnam Avenue, with a bus stop about a 5-minute walk from us. But the best part about getting around from here is how walkable we are. Everything in downtown Greenwich is at most a half-hour walk away from us.
