Penn State College Heights - Queen Bedroom
This spring rent your own queen bedroom to share a generously proportioned Victorian house across the street from the Penn State campus with a housemate. The quiet College Heights residential neighborhood is close to everything PSU and State College has to offer: 5-minute walk to Lion Shrine/Rec Hall, 10-minute walk to College Avenue, 15 or 20 minute-walk to sports arenas Beaver Stadium, Jordan Center, and Pegula Ice Arena. Amazing location and plenty of free on-site parking. The rental includes one bedroom with a queen bed in a large, fully furnished house with charming modern Victorian décor. All other areas are shared with a housemate who pays separate rent and/or the owner. There may be a housemate staying in another bedroom on the same second floor. There are 2 shared bathrooms: one on the first floor; the other on the second floor. Note: During the fall semester the owner plans to visit the house on some PSU football weekends. The kitchen is fully equipped with all major appliances, service ware, cookware, and cooking utensils. If furniture and decor changes are needed, or furniture needs moving, tenants are requested to contact the owner and discuss prior to making any changes. Cleaning supplies, paper supplies and towels are offered for your use. Bed linens are available upon request. Free WiFi offered; router in living room next to TV. Other shared space includes country-style eat-in kitchen, study area, front parlor living room / lounge, laundry room, wrap-around front porch. Plenty of parking on two driveways. Half acre lot with beautiful lawn. Tailgating and RV parking onsite not permitted unless host approves in writing. Smoking and vaping outside only please. Sorry no pets please. Additional bedrooms available under separate listings for separate rent: 1 bedroom with a twin bed. Rates apply to each room separately. Window air conditioners installed from late spring to early fall or at the tenant's request. Access to all shared spaces: living room, eat-in kitchen, laundry, study area, parking, 2 bathrooms. The owner visits occasionally and may stay overnight in his room. He is happy to provide advice in person or via email or phone on where to go and what to do. College Heights is a quiet residential neighborhood on the north side of the Penn State campus. There are no commercial businesses in the neighborhood which make it a great place to get away from the hustle and noise of the College Avenue crowds. Yet it's just a 10-minute walk to College Avenue where you can enjoy many restaurants, bars and shopping. Also, College Heights is convenient to North Atherton shopping and restaurants by car in 5 to 10 minutes. Big box stores, supermarkets, and franchise dining are located along the North Atherton Street strip where you can easily park in large parking lots with no fee. On the north and east sides of campus are the sports arenas, the Berkey Creamery, the Palmer Museum, the Smeal College Business Building, the Agriculture and Forestry buildings, the Arboretum, the Law School Building, the ORB Blue Band Building, the College of Arts & Architecture Buildings and Theaters, the Psychology and Education Buildings, Patee & Paterno Library, Shields Administrative offices, North and East Residential halls and so much more. Walk across the street to the Penn State campus. Walk to all the sports arenas. Walk down the Allen Street Mall to downtown State College. Also, CATA bus service is available a block away. Leave the car behind and walk to everything in State College and at PSU. Avoid worries about where to park in the limited spaces on the Penn State campus.
